Telefónica Tech has been named the winner in the 2023 IT Europa Channel Awards, in the Cloud Solution Provider of the Year category. The award recognises the transformational projects undertaken for BMI, one of the world’s largest roofing manufacturers.

BMI has over 180 years of industry experience, in delivering innovative roofing and waterproofing solutions. A trusted partnership with Telefónica Tech has helped them achieve scalability, and sustainability, and improve security simultaneously.

By implementing a secure, cloud-based virtual desktop solution, BMI can now onboard partners worldwide in minutes, while preserving security and data center control. This solution has resulted in a 46% increase in cost-effectiveness and has been praised by BMI’s InfoSec team for its security approach.

In addition, Telefónica Tech’s asset upcycling services have helped BMI improve their sustainability position. Over a two-year period, the initiative will save over 1 million kg of CO2 emissions and prevent 6k kg of e-waste from ending up in a landfill.

The results of the IT Europa Channel Awards were announced at an awards ceremony in London on May 18th.  This is the second year in a row Telefónica Tech UK&I have been recognised in these awards. Last year, they successfully took home the award for the Managed Services Solution of the Year.
