Our Commitment to a Responsible Future

Creating Meaningful Impact for Our People, Communities & Planet

Responsible business is about more than commitments on paper. It is about the difference we make through our people, the communities we are part of and the choices we make as an organisation.

Across Telefónica Tech UK&I, our people give their time, raise money for causes that matter to them, support local communities and help create a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Supporting our people to make a difference

We want our people to feel supported, connected and empowered to make a difference, both inside and outside Telefónica Tech. There are a number of ways colleagues can get involved in causes that matter to them, access support and contribute to communities across the UK&I.

Our people can:

  • Use a dedicated volunteering day to support a cause or community
  • Access matched funding for their fundraising
  • Apply for funding to support meaningful charitable causes
  • Become a Mental Health First Aider
  • Get involved in data volunteering and skills-based volunteering
  • Join and contribute to our Employee Resource Groups
  • Take part in fundraising, community projects and company-wide initiatives

A community before you even join

Our Employee Resource Groups bring together colleagues from across Telefónica Tech, creating spaces for people to connect, share experiences, learn from one another and help shape a more inclusive workplace.

Groups across the business include our Armed Forces Champions, Diversity & Inclusion community, Elevate Network, Telefónica Tech Pride and Neurodiversity Community, alongside other colleague-led groups and networks. For someone considering a career with Telefónica Tech, they are also a way of knowing that there are already communities here ready to welcome and support them.

Making a difference in the communities around us

At Telefónica Tech, we believe that volunteering isn’t just about giving back, it’s about creating meaningful connections and making tangible changes in people’s lives. This year, our employees have dedicated their time and energy to causes across the UK and Ireland, from helping to restore landscapes in the Mourne Mountains to running cyber security workshops for underprivileged children at Oxford University.

Our teams have also been actively involved in supporting local communities, working in food banks, clearing gardens for hospices, and helping to run events for children with disabilities. In London, we played a key role in keeping digital learning spaces open for the homeless, ensuring access to technology for those who need it most.

With over 124 different volunteering activities completed, our employees have embraced the opportunity to create positive change. Feedback from our volunteers speaks for itself, event enjoyability received an outstanding rating of 4.92/5, with organisational effectiveness rated at 4.87/5. More than 80% of our employees have shared that these experiences strengthened their connection to Telefónica Tech, reinforcing the importance of social responsibility within our company culture.

Sustainability: Building a Greener Future
