Conor Friel, CTO for Health

Conor works on strategic digital transformation programmes across our large Enterprise Health customers. In this interview, he shares how Telefónica Tech UK&I manages large EPR rollouts and digital transformation programmes for a number of leading NHS Trusts and delivers Epic for a number of clients.

Outlining the process of initiating a complex programme such as Epic, Conor discusses how we take customer requirements and develop this into a programme plan with defined milestones and dedicated teams aligned to deliver these. He also shares the importance of selecting the right partners to support and underpin these programmes and how we work within our vendor ecosystem to align the right partners, such as HPE, to deliver certain aspects of the managed service.

David shares his recent involvement in leading a complex programme for a client embarking on their EPR journey. Throughout the interview, David explains how understanding what the client needs, their flexibility on how this is going to be rolled out and current understanding of EPR is vital to deciding the right partner.

Andrea Stewart, Head of Customer Success, Health

Due to its unique and personal nature, customer success is vital within Health and a dedicated role exists for this within the team. During this interview, Andrea discusses her role and how, within this vertical, it’s not just the systems and digitisation but the human at the receiving end of the service that is important.

Andrea’s role involves listening to what’s happening from the customer to ensure their concerns and point of view is understood, communicated and addressed within Telefónica Tech UK&I. She also shares the importance of building and maintaining good relationships with Telefónica Tech UK&I’s clients, whether that’s at a clinical, admin or commercial level.

Donald McKerrigan, Chief Technical Architect, Health

Throughout this interview, Donald discusses how he supports across several initiatives and programmes from the engagement of customers, working with them on their technical requirements, to ensuring the solution is delivered on schedule.

He also shares how one customer is deploying a refreshed platform for PACS and how the team is approaching the customer’s requirement to bring in new infrastructure to support the ongoing provision of this service. Donald explains how we were able to engage with technical experts within the HPE ecosystem who had experience in delivering the same technology and application solution to other healthcare customers.
