In April, Telefónica Tech hosted it’s first in-person data analytics event exclusively for technical and clinical healthcare teams – Future Ready Health. Hosted at the IET in London, the event was designed for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge-sharing across the healthcare sector, exploring how data analytics can be harnessed to deliver better health outcomes.

In collaboration with Microsoft, Telefónica Tech brought together industry experts and real use-cases from NHS Trusts and Central organisations to showcase how the health sector can successfully harness modern data platforms, business intelligence and data science to drive intelligent insights and tangible results.

We were delighted to have a selection of our healthcare clients present on the day; NHS Blood and Transplant, Solent NHS Trust and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust, all ran sessions to share their experiences of data modernisation and uncovering impactful insights within their organisation.

Future of Healthcare

To kick-off the day, we heard from Anna Dijkstra, Innovation Director for Health and Life Sciences at Microsoft UK, who provided an insightful overview of industry trends, challenges and the opportunities that health organisations can harness to optimise operational efficiency and provide integrated patient care.

Unfortunately Rob O’Neil, Deputy CIO (Analytics) and Jayshree Pindoriya, Head of Data & Management Information Systems at the Trust, were unable to join us in person. However, they kindly shared pre-recorded videos to tell the audience how the Trust has developed a range of dashboards that provide inpatient and community insights such as demographics and bed occupancy, streamlining reporting to the executive board. Now at a new stage in its data journey, the NHS Trust shared how it is developing a strategy to drive adoption and uphold data quality throughout clinical practice.
