This Valentine’s Day, we’re dialling up the love for the ever-evolving tech industry. We spoke to some of the Telefónica Tech team, from all areas of the organisation, to find out what holds a place in their heart about working in tech.

“I never would’ve imagined enjoying working in tech as much as I do today. The tech world and finance functions are becoming increasingly linked as technology and software continually develop, supporting finance functions in streamlining timeous operations. I am still at an early stage in my career, and being exposed to the tech world allows me to broaden my knowledge not only in finance but also in learning how different sectors implement technology in the workplace. I’ve found the learning experience in tech to be super rewarding, as no day is the same and I get to work and learn from amazing, experienced individuals at a diverse company.”

“Am I in love with tech? Of course I am, and here’s why. From kickstarting my career in the tech industry 14 years ago, I uncovered my passion for process improvement and it changed the course of my life. This unlocked an array of opportunities with well-known technology giants to accelerate my Six Sigma journey during my MBA in Supply Chain Management. I owe my progression to the chances my mentors took with me, the best-in-breed technology exposure that helped me shape who I am today and the steep learning curves I took.
