Protect Every Workload with Enterprise Backup as a Service

Data loss, ransomware and compliance failures are not questions of if, but when. Backup as a Service (BaaS) provides secure, scalable and fully managed data protection without the complexity of designing and operating backup infrastructure.

Telefónica Tech BaaS delivers enterprise-grade backup and recovery across physical, virtual and cloud environments, combining UK-hosted infrastructure, Veeam technology and expert management to ensure your data is always protected and recoverable.

Secure backups. Immutable protection. UK-hosted and fully managed.

What is BaaS?

Backup as a Service (BaaS) is a fully managed data protection platform delivering backup and recovery for physical, virtual and cloud workloads. Where required, Full BaaS can include Telefónica Tech–managed backup infrastructure deployed within your environment, combined with secure UK-hosted offsite storage.

It is available in two models:

Full BaaS: End-to-end managed backup including software, infrastructure, monitoring and support

Offsite BaaS: Secure, UK-hosted backup repository for customers with existing Veeam environments

Full vs Offsite BaaS

Understanding the right model ensures the best outcome for your organisation.

Full BaaS delivers complete backup ownership and management, while Offsite BaaS provides secure, compliant storage for existing backup environments.

Our fully managed backup service removes the complexity of protecting your data by handling the entire environment on your behalf. Telefónica Tech manages software, infrastructure, and day-to-day operations, with the option to include on-premise deployment where needed. The service includes continuous monitoring, regular patching, testing, and expert restore support, ensuring backups are always reliable and recoverable. It is ideally suited to organisations that do not have an existing backup capability or want to offload the operational burden to a trusted partner.

This option is designed for organisations that already have a backup capability in place and want to extend it securely. It integrates seamlessly with existing Veeam environments, allowing customers to retain control of their backup processes while leveraging Telefónica Tech’s secure offsite storage. In this model, Telefónica Tech provides a remote repository only, giving businesses a simple and effective way to enhance resilience and meet compliance requirements without changing their existing strategy.
