An Agentathon is a hands-on, collaborative event where business professionals (in this case, NHS professionals) work with our industry and technology experts to build AI-powered agents using Microsoft’s Power Platform and Copilot Studio. These agents automate workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve data accuracy. Participants co-create solutions tailored to their organisation’s needs, often transforming existing spreadsheets, paper forms, or legacy systems into intelligent, automated processes.

You’ll leave with a Minimum Viable Agent (MVA): a working prototype of an AI agent that solves a real operational challenge in your Trust. You’ll also gain a clear Agentic AI blueprint for scaling automation across departments, plus hands-on experience with Microsoft tools and Telefónica Tech’s healthcare automation expertise.

AI agents help NHS Trusts streamline operations, reduce administrative burdens, improve data quality, free up time for frontline care, and ultimately, enhance patient outcomes.

They enable automation of tasks like biopsy tracking, invoice generation, contract management, and stock control—making processes more efficient and compliant.

To get the most out of the Agentathon, there are some steps you can and should take ahead of time. Preparation for this NHS Trust Agentathon involves:

3. *Engaging with Telefónica Tech to discuss your goals and challenges
