Telefónica Tech is delighted to have been selected to be placed on the National Highways IT framework for the use and procurement of Digital Services and Technology.   

About National Highways  

National Highways is a government-owned company that operates, maintains and improves motorways and major roads in England. It also sets highway standards for all four UK administrations, through the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.  

Within England, it operates information services such as on-road signage, provides traffic officers and manages the delivery of the improvement schemes to the network.  

The Framework  

National Highways is transitioning to a more commercially focused organisation and the framework is designed to support business requirements and have a collection of suppliers who are aware and capable of delivering these specific needs.  

This is a new framework as National Highways now requires a technology-focused commercial vehicle to provide routes to market, to support its Digital Services transformation.   

The framework term is estimated to spend approximately £1billion over 4 years and will include the support the delivery of categories such as services and solutions, technical specialist services, professional services, IT and product and managed services.
