Microsoft Inspire 2021- A 2-day announcement roundup
Recently Microsoft’s annual Inspire partner conference kicked off. For the second year being held virtually, there were many announcements affecting, Teams, Dynamics, Azure, and innovations for partners.
The 2-day event had various sessions, so here’s a roundup of some of the important news announced this year.
Azure announcements:
Azure App Dev:
Azure API Management integration with Azure Event Grid is now in preview. Event Grid is a single service for managing routing of events from source to destination. Customers can now configure API Management to publish events to Event Grid when a new user or new subscription is created on an API Management resource.
Azure Data:
Are you a partner in the Azure Synapse ecosystem? You can now include your solution directly in the new Browse partners page in Synapse Studio. Azure Synapse customers can easily browse partner solutions to learn what they do. With the ability to connect with the third-party independent software vendor (ISV) partners who are verified to work with Azure Synapse.
Azure Hybrid & Multicloud:
Azure stack HCI has new partner programs, advanced specialisation and product features. All Microsoft Azure Stack HCI partners will be offered new programs and marketing assets to showcase technical capabilities. Also to showcase the value of Azure Stack HCI, a cloud-connected, hyperconverged infrastructure operating system (OS) ) delivered as an Azure service.
Azure Infra:
With many organisations using Azure Virtual Desktop streaming apps to employees, Microsoft have announced a monthly new pricing plan for customers. The per-user access pricing option will be effective January 1, 2022, with free promotional access available now through December 31, 2021.
Azure Migration:
The expansion of programs and security updates to streamline cloud migration and modernisation is in process. Programs include The Azure Migration and Modernization Program (AMMP) and the Azure Migrate App Containerisation will support deploying containerised apps to the Azure App Service — Web App for Containers tool.

Dynamics 365:
Whether you have a Dynamics 365 licence or not, Microsoft Teams customers will now receive access to view and edit Microsoft Dynamics 365 data in Teams at no extra cost.

Microsoft Teams:
New and enhanced collaborative apps are coming to Microsoft Teams. With 145 million collaborating users, the updates will enable developers and ISVs to build the next generation of apps with collaboration at the core. Enabling real-time and asynchronous collaboration for meetings, chats, content creation and business processes.
Security:
Microsoft 365 Lighthouse and Project “Orland,” are finally in preview. Why is this an exciting update? Well, these tools these tools are intended to drive partner growth and profitability by making it easier to deliver managed security services and identify new growth opportunities.

Sustainability goals:
Available later this year, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability is designed to provide both customers and Microsoft to meet their carbon reduction and sustainability goals. This does for all industries working with Microsoft. It will allow organisations to record, report and reduce their emissions on their path to net zero.
