Wrapping up warm in Christmas jumpers

Some of our team at our Glasgow office dusted off their Christmas jumpers for Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 8 December. We also had the chance to take part in Christmas crafts and a Christmas quiz… with a mulled wine in hand, of course!

From Aberdeen to London with our People team

Our People team fired up Santa’s sleigh to make trips to get to know our colleagues based up and down the country. Firstly, they travelled north to our Telefónica Tech office in Aberdeen, then they headed down south to our Telefónica Tech office in London. Despite the benefits of remote working, there is no replacement for establishing connections face-to-face. Ahead of Christmas, our People team had a great time spreading the Christmas cheer to colleagues in different locations, meeting colleagues – many of whom, for the first time!

It’s party time!

Christmas parties are back and certainly with a BANG! Our Telefónica Techists had a cracking time celebrating the festive season at a variety of Christmas party locations:

• Living it up in London: Kicking off the festive party season in Shoreditch with karaoke, pizza, games, and festive fizz on offer!
• Gleeful get together Glasgow: Colleagues based in and around Glasgow got the party going with dinner and dancing in a glistening ballroom on the top floor of Glasgow’s oldest pub.
• ADVENTure to Aberdeen: Aberdeenshire-based colleagues ploughed their way to a lively Aberdeen hotel for a night of turkey, tunes, and tinsel galore!
• Merry and bright in Manchester: Colleagues in and around Manchester got the jingle bells ringing by getting together at a trendy lounge in the city centre.

Supporting Crisis at Christmas

Concluding our Christmas activities, Telefónica Tech donated on behalf of each and every colleague to Crisis’ “Crisis at Christmas” campaign, supporting those less fortunate over Christmas time.

The funds donated will allow people experiencing homelessness this Christmas to have:

• Help with a safe place to stay
• A Christmas dinner
• Access to health and wellbeing programmes
• Support to leave homelessness behind for good

The “Crisis at Christmas” campaign supports those experiencing homelessness over the festive season. Telefónica Tech is proud to have supported Crisis in bringing this campaign to life with the Power Platform.
